This blog is used primarily to highlight materials from a digitization project at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries, with related links and content that connects the state of Nebraska to the larger comics world.
The first collection contains comic books, illustrations, and posters produced, distributed, or printed by various state governments, the U.S. Federal government, and the U.N. and European Community. These were scanned and converted to .pdf files and made available for download by Matthew Conway, valued research assistant. Please visit the collection here. Also included are catalogs and Hearings Proceeding that should also be of interest to comics researchers. Additional collections will be forthcoming (current project is “educational” comics).
Our Flickr site contains additional images of government comic book ephemera and Nebraska-related comics.
Please contact me with questions, or if you have items or information you think may be relevant to include/contribute.
